English for IELTS
English for IELTS is a training programme for candidates appearing for IELTS (International English Language Testing System), a test of English proficiency by University of Cambridge held by British Council and IDP Australia. We target and produce band 7 and above in most cases which is truly World Class.
IELTS
- It is a joint venture of University of Cambridge ESOL Examination, British Council and IDP IELTS Australia.
- It is an assessment of language ability of candidates who need to study or train in the medium of English.
- It is an entrance requirement by most universities in the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the U.S.A.
- IELTS is not recommended for candidates under the age of 16.
Training Modules – It is selected depending upon the requirements of sponsor or receiving institution.
Academic Training – To study or train in the medium of English at an undergraduate or post graduate level.
- Listening [4 Sections, 40 Items, 30 minutes]
- Reading [3 Sections, 40 Items, 60 minutes]
- Writing [2 Tasks , 150 & 250 words, 60 minutes]
- Speaking [11-14 minutes]
General Training – To go to English speaking countries to complete their secondary education, to undertake work experience or Training programmes not at degree level or for Immigration purpose.
- Listening [4 Sections, 40 Items, 30 minutes]
- Reading [3 Sections, 40 Items, 60 minutes]
- Writing [2 Tasks, 150 & 250 words, 60 minutes]
- Speaking [11-14 minutes]
Results – Band scores range from Band 1 to Band 9
- Band 9 – Expert User
- Band 8 – Very Good User
- Band 7 – Good User
- Band 6 – Competent User
- Band 5 – Modest User
- Band 4 – Limited User
- Band 3 – Extremely Limited User
- Band 2 – Intermittent User
- Band 1 – Non-User
- Result is declared approximately 13 days after the test date IELTS
- Score is valid upto 2 years
